Some of the resulting comments were wonderful, but I remember descriptive grammarians of the ’60′s talking about the “blocked and” that made “you and I” as correct usage for sentences such as “I’m going to love you until the stars fall from the sky for you and I.”
But aren’t grammarians wonderful nitpickers? Me? I’m only a twice-over gramma.
