		<description>that&#039;s wonderful - actually it makes sense that you have to boil it - that way the salt preserves it til it&#039;s eaten. Cabbage and naval salt beef - that&#039;s a historic meal. I&#039;m amazed they sell salt beef at superstore.</description>

I&#039;ve just learned that you&#039;re supposed to boil it beforehand to draw the salt out. 
Me? I just added more vinegar and cabbage. To be fair, it drew the salt out all right - at least judging by the state of the cabbage.

Word to the wise - don&#039;t attempt to flavour salt beef with soy sauce.</description>
